Best Steak for Great Price.

This hidden gem is bay far the best steakhouse on the south shore. What great bar for happy hour or live music with a private dinning room.

Terrible quality and customer service

My wife and I ate there on saturday evening at 8pm on 8/8/09 with another couple. None of us had ever been there before but the other couple heard it was very good. The restaurant is decorated very attractively with a large bar area as you enter and then the seperate dining area. The appitizers were very good on the waiters suggestion two of us ordered the 16 once marinated skirt steak a $26.00. My friends was served first a very nice looking large skirt steak and when mine was served it appeared to be much smaller " OH WELL". As we ate the steaks mine was very chewy and everyone noticed that I was having a hard time cutting threw the steak and at one point hitting a vein that I could not cut threw. My friend then said to thy a piece of his steak and it was much better and very tender. My wife then suggested that we call the waiter over and I showed him the vein and told him the steak was very tough. He took back my plate with the half eaten baked potato on it and returned two minutes later with a new dish with a fresh baked potato and the same tough steak this time smaller because the chef cut off the part with the vein going threw it and said the chef seggests that you cut the steak in the opposite direction and it will cut easier???? This still did not fix the fact that the steak was very tough and chewy. I will say the marinade was very tasty but the quality of the steak I was served (twice) was terrible.

I would suggest if your looking for a steak house you try another restaurant,

Two thumbs down!!!!

Great Food....Great Price

Finally......This place is awsome.......Great Steakhouse without the "north shore" prices and attitude. I recommed this place for a quick snack at the huge bar or a nice sit down dinner!!! Great service and you can't beat the price.

General Info
The atmosphere at Sanibel recalls the fun of owner Patrick Kuhn¿s summers on Sanibel Island. He and partner Dennis Durdaller have created a destination restaurant that packs the joy of a vacation without getting on a plane. The L-shaped granite bar is the place to meet and make friends while enjoying a tropical Sanibel cosmo. Guests come early and stay late to soak up the friendly vibe and groove to live music on weekend nights. The dining room¿s cloth-covered tables and a fireplace offer a formal meal while wood top tables with striking red upholstered booths have a casual feel. The professional yet unpretentious service is a delight. Beach themed prints and oil paintings from Sanibel artists line the walls. The back room is perfect for private events and an outdoor patio expands the bar area in warm summer months. An elaborate, old-fashioned presentation of perfectly seasoned steak tartar includes accoutrements and an egg yolk nestled in its shell. The unique surf and turf chart offers six meats like filet mignon to mix and match with four seafood options, from traditional lobster tail to an outstanding Maryland crab cake. A 24 oz. bone-in cowboy rib eye fulfills steak house cravings; pair it with crispy fries and your choice of sauce. All the steaks are 21-28 day dry aged. Don¿t miss homemade Oreo crème brulee with crumbs of the famous cookie on the bottom. Order from the wine list including a selection of reserves or participate in their wine locker program.
