WARNING!!! This home inspector is a JOKE!!! Inspected our home before we bought it without going on top of the rook. He said its better not to walk on an older roof so he made pictures from different angles. Unfortunately nat all angles as there was a hole in the roof made by raccoons. He denied it of course, and said they must of moved in after the inspection. The hole has rotten wood all over it so it was made a very long lime ago. Turns out that raccoons have a parasite in their droppings so the hole attic needs to be disinfected. The cost is $13,000. That s right $13,000 not $1300. He said he is insured when we hired him but now refused to give his insurance policy number. Furthermore the contract he had us sign before he got started states that he is only responsible for fees paid. My fault I did not read it completely!! He was recommended by our Realtor so I trusted he knew what he was doing. My Mistake!!! We went to a real estate attorney to seek legal advise. The attorney asked right away if there is a clause in the contract that he is only responsible for the fees paid. He also said that the Home inspectors are THE BIGGEST FRAUD. You pay for the inspection for the sole reason to see what is wrong with the house, well think TWICE!! You are throwing your money away. I checked others now to see if they have such a wording in their contract and it turns out that they all have the same clause. The Attorney was right they are all Frauds!!! DO NOT EVER YUSE this guy, and think twice about all other inspectors. Read the contract carefully and when it says " INSPECTOR is limited to the following: FEES PAID" Throw them out and tell them to go scam someone else. There should be a law against all of them!!
