I applied to move to this complex sometime last month. I was notified after my criminal background check came back that I was denied. Let me mention I'm a correctional officer in the city of Baltimore.I was told that I had criminal charges in Iowa. I notified the leasing office that I never had any run ins with the cops in Iowa I only went to school there. I was later told that they made a mistake it was charged in Seattle. I called the king county district court in Seattle because I did get a speeding ticket in Seattle. I also had a ticket for driving on a suspended license. I had to complete driving improvement which they dropped and closed out after I provided them with a driving record showing my license was valid. The king county Court was willing to explain the charge which the leasing office didn't want to hear. I called the company who conducted the background check. They stated that they will call the court and get clarification and drop it off of my background,and stated they didn't think this charge would stop me from being accepted. The rep pointed out another charge that could give me trouble which was driving with falsified tags which I was never convicted of. I went to the leasing office and provided the information to the assistant there. I stated to her that I contactEd safe rent and they ensured me that the charge was not or shouldn't be the charge holding me back and I should pay attention to my driving with false tags charge. I later received a email from the shot caller Ms Kim and she said it was another mistake the charge that is holding me back is the driving with false tags, this after I took care of what was holding me back and after I notified them of that charge. I could of provided the proper paper work for that charge which I was never convicted but I was told I was disqualified for 99 years because that charge is fraud. I was never convicted of the charge by the way also that same week I applied for my gun license which I had to pass state and federal background checks. I have received my gun license that same month and provides proof which meant nothing to them. I just gave up because clearly I wasn't wanted on there property. I just felt so mistreated here. I don't think its a bad place to live. I just felt unwanted here. I just hope it wasn't because we was a young black couple from the city because this was at the time of the riots.

Do not rent 1 Dodworth Ct. Apt. 202. The noise from the upstairs neighbors is awful. The tenant has been there over 10 years and isn't going anywhere. His son is on disability and is in the unit 24/7- no joke. I've lived here 6 weeks and my apartment in never quiet. The two of them stomp around. The floors groan and creak. Its awful.. One tenant is up every night at 3 AM pacing and then the other gets up at 5:30 for work. So if you like to sleep- forget it. I'm vacating as soon as possible and I want to make sure others aren't victims.
