The Legacy Apartments

Please be aware that you definitely get what you pay for with this apartment complex !!! I have been a resident of Legacy apartment since September 2012 and I am very relived to say that this will be my last week residing in this FILTHY residence. The only reason why it took so long for me to move was because of my financial situation. Since the very first night I moved in we (my three kids and I) have been battling pest (roaches, bedbugs). They do have a contract with a pest control company but when the whole building is infested and you have tenants who don’t know how to fight the pest it just becomes a bigger problem. Sometime last year they actually switched the property manager due to repairs not being made. My second bathroom has been leaking due to the faulty air condition since 2012, which of course caused mold. Ive probably have had about 30 visit from different mataince men (they cant ever keep the same matinance man because the repairs are too much for one to handle and they don’t want to spend any money to fix anything) and everytime a matince man came out, he had to be called again because the issue wasn’t fixed. I have had a man fall though my celing as well as a friend of mine fall through my floor..and still to this day the flooring hasn’t been properly repaired.I asked to be transferred to a different unit because there are a LOT of repairs that need to be made. She says there weren’t any available, but is constantly advertising on craigslist and other outlets for new tentants. Its just so they can suck some new people in. So now that I have contacted metro call/codes and regulations because the issues have not been fixed they are trying to evict me because I refuse to pay 250 for bedbug treatment when the whole complex is infested ! Not to mention the hot water always goes out, the laundry room is a joke and don’t ask for corporate information because they refuse to provide it. My first bathroom’s celing leaks, theres a crack under my toilet in there as well. Plus the office staff is rude and ignorant. So now due to the repairs not being made the city has already fined them $986 which they have not paid. Pretty much they are upset because Im making them do their job. I like living here i have a nice clean apartment the mangers are prefrontal. Its a easy move. I have no bed bugs everything in the apartment works.

I have lived here since December 2013 and it has been one thing after another since Day 1. The straw that broke the camels back....no hot water for two months. And an air conditioner that is leaking all over the bathroom and causing mold to grow in the ventilation and on all the vents. When I asked management about fixing it; she said that the owner is aware of the issues and refuses to pay for the problem equipment to be upgraded which is what is needed. i have reported them to the BBB as well and code enforcement and the health department.

Worst apt complex ever! At least once a month they turn the water off for days. We either have no hot water or no water at all. The air conditioning is garbage. The neighbors are sketchy as f***. Bed bugs, roaches, God knows what else. Our car has been vandalized. A neighbor had to move due to mold. The apt was a wreck when we moved in. Maintenance never fixed anything. The mailboxes fell over right now and the postal service is holding everyone's mail at the post office and management doesn't let anyone know. Its dirty, trashy, nasty and poorly managed. They say new management came in and made everything better but that's BS. Don't waste your money! Were contacting a lawyer to get out.of our lease. A terrible place to have kids!

I am a nursing student. I moved here under the false pretenses of their being a pool, work out room, dishwasher and completely remodeled apartment. I came down here from Illinois. I recieved several emails. Boy did they sucker me in. Not only was the pool filled in but there never was a work out room. Just pull in and look. What you see is what you get. Drug deals go on right in the parking lot. I've seen it. The apartment was not as described or pictured at all. There are roaches, and every other kind of bug you could imagine. There was no air conditioning or heat in my apartment for a month. Hot water is hit or miss. Sometimes you have it sometimes you don't. Nice after a long day of work. Then they tell you heat some water on the stove after three days????? What does that do? After complaining about my air conditioning being broke they where very ignorant about the whole situation. They acused me of getting into my furnace and pulling out wires???? Lol I'm a nurse why would I ever do something like that???? I had to call my lawyer and I have and keep on forwarding along all of the stuff that is happening here. No accomidations where made to me when Kentucky law is they have to have hot water, air/heat within 48 hrs. Also several bills for hotel stays that I will be persuing along with several seperate acts of slander. Doesn't the office know cell phones have recorders on them. The kids here run wild. They sit in the parking lot and honk horns. There is trash every where it looks like someone just dumps their garbage out their windows. Their parents do not watch them. They stomp up and down the hall and scream up until 10 pm. No working third shift for me any more. The office does nothing about it. In fact if you are not on section 8 they don't want to hear from you. The people in the office are just a product of the environment that you see when you pull in the driveway. My lease is up in 3 months and I will never be so happy to move from some where. Ask around. Everyone in Louisville knows about the reputation of this place.
