Tatu

I don't know what happened to this place. We have been here several times with my daughter and she was very comfortable with a piercer named Jasmine. She was looking forward to getting her tongue pierced over spring break, which they previously told her she could do. We were told we needed her birth certificate, which I understand, so we made a second trip there. When the piercer we were waiting on got back from shopping she told her she wouldn't do the piercing. We sat there debating what to do next, maybe a different piercing or tattoo. She was very dismissive and rude. She wouldn't even look at us to answer questions. When I consent to, and pay for someone to care for my daughter, and she looks up to them, then I would expect for her to be treated with more respect. Don't treat your regular customers that way, or any customer for that matter. Serious communication issues in several ways. Never again...

got a tattoo there, the quality was terrible, it got infected ( proven by a dr) and when I called to complained I was yelled at and told it wasn't. nor would they refund my money. DO NOT GO THERE

This review should be taken in two parts. The first tattoo I got which was about 2 years ago from Joe was great and had zero issues. I wanted to get another one done over the weekend here in March 2014. I went and saw Joe again and he marked me down for an appointment two days later. I noticed that the shop was more disorganized this time and seemed to lack certain control and structure. Just to talk to him there was three people up front not understanding what the other two were doing so the management aspect seemed to have changed. After the two days I went in 10 minutes before my appointment time and Joe had taken a walkin. He refused to talk to me face to face and sent the admin person up front to tell me he doubled book this appointment time and told me to come back two hours later. After I told her that I'm a repeat customer and had this appointment time she said that I needed to stop complaining and just understand.



This wasn't my first tattoo nor will it be my last, the first rule of running a tattoo shop is customer service and take care of any repeat customers. It seemed like to me that management had changed and customer service really has declined. With so many artist in Louisville and other shops willing to do what it takes to earn your business why waste your time, money, and effort on a shop/artist who doesn't even want your business? Do yourself a favor, go to another shop.

I gave specific instructions on as to how I'd like my tattoo to look, and the artist plopped the stencil on and did what he wanted and dismissed my suggestions or disagreed that they'd look nice (ON MY BODY).

They do a nice sum of trash talking other artists/parlors as well.

I'm getting ready to begin laser removal to get this four hundred dollar piece of trash off of my back.

It has such a great atmosphere. All the artists there have their own styles, they always do great work at Tatu. Nothing but solid tattoos and piercings come from Tatu. I would'nt go anywhere else

If you want a tattoo that is perfect and just as you imagined it would be based on your stencil/design you picked out, then do NOT get it done here! They talk bad about other tattoo parlors and let on that they're the best, but unfortunately their work does not back up the talk! Now, if you want a tattoo that is less than you imagined then yes I would suggest Tatu.
