First of all I just received a bill from a collector for service I had at that hospital two years ago. I could have paid this $50 bill months ago if I had indeed known I still owed it to them. U of L did this to me recently and apologized for it because it was their mistake. But St. Mary & Elizabeth is my least favorite hospital for emergencies, anyway. Just not very friendly, not expedient or that helpful. I was once left on a gurney in the hallway for 2 hours. Later, I was vomiting in a room and I could hear the nurses in the hallway talking about me but no one came in to check on me. Once I came out of surgery and caught a nurse giving me a shot with something I was allergic to which I had listed to them in every room I was taken through before surgery. Will never go back there again. I've chosen Suburban as my favorite go-to hospital for emergencies.

emergency room visits

i am not pleased of the service that my daughter received in the e.r. My daughter was not able to stand or sit that she was in so much pain and i told the staff about an abcess infection that she had and we were afraid that the infection was what was making her sick and they totally ignored us. the admitted my daughter and are still running test.

i dont think they even tested to see if her infection is the cause of all her problems.. she is still there lets hope they surprise me and find out the problem, she has two children wanting their mom back home my rating would be a 2
