Smokey's Bean

This place is fantastic!!! Okay, first of all, the coffee is great, the pumpkin lattes are awesome, and the peppermint mocha frozen blended drink is sooooooo good!!! This place is well lit and really snazzy on the inside, but for some reason it's really dark from the outside (tinted windows or something?). The owner is SO friendly! She runs the place with her multitude of teenage offspring, all of whom are really friendly and cool. Smokey is their dog!!! He's so cute!!! He's there sometimes chilling out, looking like he just smoked too much hookah. Oh yeah, and they have hookah! And fresh baked goods, like chocolate chip cookies! Really good cookies (50 cents each, yes!), chill sofas, cute doggie, nice people, free wifi - why are you not there right now? Get there!!
Oh - almost forgot - they played like half a Damien Marley album while I was there! Really??? Thank you!!!

What a great place!!! In a sea of red in the middle of March Madness, my phone directed me to the closest coffee shop near the freeway! I was on my way back home to TN and came upon this little gem!! 2 very friendly young men (who were also very attractive), immediately greeted me as I came through the door! I was offered suggestions on coffee, given directions, and even a recommendation for food in the neighborhood! Then the cutest dog I have ever seen in my life walked in with I assume the owner (?), or maybe the dog, Smokey, is the owner! The owner was extremely nice and friendly! She made me tator tots to go! Wonderful place is all I can say! Next time I am in town, I will be stopping in to see Smokey and crew! Keep up the good work!! And good luck in your game today, Louisville!!!

The coffee isn't worth being subjected to the nasty and unprofessional attitude of the owner. Customers can plan to be bombarded by offensive language and comments and can easily overhear her gossip about the numerous people she doesn't like. I have overheard her spread lies about people I know personally and found it totally unwarranted as those individuals were not there to defend themselves. I would rather go to a chain than support a business owner who openly spreads slanderous information and gossips about whomever she dislikes. The shop would have a lot more business if the Erin would stick to serving coffee and not hate.

Great coffee, great atmosphere, cute dog. I love stopping in this place. Everyone is always friendly, there's never a wait, and they all remember what I drink. The drinks are good too, I like the Caramel latte and the frappes are good too. It's worth a stop in, this place is really special.
