Michael B Mathis D.M.D. Michael Mathis earned his dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dental Medicine after earning his bachelor degree from the University of Louisville. He has attained his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, and maintains memberships in American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Louisville Dental Society. Dr. Mathis has taken extensive postgraduate education courses. His focus is on offering complete dental health to his patients through adult orthodontics, implant placement and restorations, full mouth reconstruction, and routine restorative procedures. Dr. Mathis also believes in educating others, so the Mathis Dental team publishes a monthly newsletter on such topics as periodontics (gum disease), digital radiography, oral cancer screenings and routine dental hygiene. He is an active participant in the community, volunteering for the Smile Kentuckiana program. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities with his two sons and one grandson, including hiking, snow skiing, boating, and camping in the great outdoors. Dentistry is about more than just your teeth.
