        Dr. John Gallehr joined the University of Louisville Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2013. His clinical responsibilities include psychiatrist for the pediatric psychiatry and psychology consult liaison service for Norton Children’s Hospital. He provides psychiatric consultations for children with numerous medical issues including transplantation, oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, cardiology and infectious disease. He also provides consultation services for the intensive care unit and emergency department. Dr. Gallehr provides inpatient psychiatric services for children and adolescents on the dedicated psychiatry unit 6 C.

        Dr. John Gallehr is not only a qualified and experienced professional, but is also a truly caring,compasionate, and trustworthy doctor as well. I not only better understand my illness but also am much more capable of managing my symptoms thanks to Dr. Gallehr. He has helped me heal and greatly improve my quality of life. I am so blessed to be treated by him because he has restored hope for not only me but my family.
