Greg Cooper, M.D., PhD., is chief of adult neurology and director of the Memory Center at Norton Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Cooper received his MD and PhD from the University of Kentucky before completing his residency in neurology and fellowship in behavioral neurology and cognitive neuroscience at the University of Iowa. He briefly directed the dementia clinic at the University of Iowa before joining the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging at the University of Kentucky, and later formed and directed the Baptist Health Memory Care Program until joining Norton in 2021. While Dr. Cooper focuses on the care and treatment of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, he has been active in research serving as principal investigator on a number of clinical trials. He also has a strong interest in education and caregiver support. 2023 American Association for Physician Leadership Fellow (FAAPL) Dr. Cooper was selected as a 2023 American Association for Physician Leadership Fellow. The AAPL Fellowship is the most prestigious professional designation in the physician leadership community, a distinction for physicians that have obtained the Certified Physician Executive (CPE) credential, and have demonstrated substantial contributions to the field of physician leadership on a regional and national level.
