Blooming Sun Alterations

This alteration business is very over priced and underqualified. I took a bridsmaid dress in for a simple hem and waist tuck. The work was so-so as the bottom of the hem was bunched up in one area, but I let that slide since it wasn't very noticeable. I did not have time to look over every inch of the dress upon pick-up as I was on my way to work and had just enough time to try it on and make sure there were no other major alterations needed. After getting the dress home that evenning (mind you I have not been anywhere else with it or removed is from it's plastic covering) I looked over it more closely and noticed that the dress had greasy fingerprints and black dirt all over the back of it. I called Sunny and she said I should have told her sooner... I don't really know how that would've been possible as I called her immediately the next morning. I have a trust dry cleaners I go to regulary and asked her to simply cover the $18 to have it cleaned. She said she would not cover it unless I brought it back over to her shop (which is 25 minutes away) and then she said she would only cover half of the cost for whoever she would have clean it. Needless to say I would end up spending the same amount of money in gas and time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ALTERATION BUSINESS DUE TO CARELESSNESS OF OTHER PEOPLES PROPERTY AND POOR BUSINESS ETHICS.

My dress turned out beautiful. fortunatley i did not need a lot of work just the bust and sides taken in however since my dress was beaded it was hard to find anyone to even think about doing it. Sony did a beautiful job on my dress. the only problem I had was twice I had an appointment for fittings and the dress was not ready for me to try on which waisted my time and my gas. It would have been nice to have gotten a phone call to reschedule my appiontment. But the work is great and she is definatley friendly and accomidating.

I would definitly recommend Blooming Sun and would use them again for sure. I had a big poofy 6-10 layer dress, with satin along the bottom, and a lot of beading. This dress was so poofy that it needed two skirts to fill it out! Sunny hemmed my dress through the waist as well as my skirts and had it ready when requested. She also did not charge the ridiculous pricing that some of the others were charging to do the same thing. I would use her again and do recommend others to use her services as well.
