Ball & Ball Trucking

If I could choose no stars I would. I had a shipment that was handed off to Ball and Ball on 5/11 from Roadrunner Transportation. I called on 5/12 to see when I could expect my shipment. Nobody answered so I left a voicemail. I never heard anything back so I called back around 3:15PM and was told that my shipment was going to be delivered maybe Monday but more than likely Tuesday. I was also told that I could come to the terminal and pick up the shipment myself. I told them that I would need 1 hour advance notice to meet the truck at my business since I work another job about 40 minutes away. No call and no delivery on Monday, no call and no delivery on Tuesday. I did receive an email from my vendor on Tuesday that said they had been in contact with the trucking company and that my shipment would be delivered on Wednesday. I get a call Wednesday from the truck driver and he is sitting in front of my shop wanting to drop off the shipment. I told him that I was about 40 minutes away and that I was supposed to have an hour notice prior to delivery to meet the truck. He insisted that he leave the shipment in front of my shop unattended. I told him not to leave the shipment as I wanted to verify the condition of the shipment before it was left. The truck driver then hung up on me. I called the main office and let them know that I was on my way to the shop to meet the truck and I did not want the pallet left in front of my shop with nobody there and they said OK. Well, I got to the shop and there sat my pallet of guitars and basses on the sidewalk and no truck driver in sight.I would not recommend using Ball and Ball trucking as their customer service and delivery queue times are horrible.

Ditto to the horrible ones above. We're sitting here waiting to get a key to get into our truck so that we can unload it ourselves 3 miles from home. No one here yet as planned. They delivered my Sear appliances fine two years ago but can't do this job with any professionalism or integrity.

I paid to have a door unit delivered to my home. Ball and Ball called me to tell me they had it to deliver and asked if there would be someone to help unload it. I clearly told the dispatcher that there would be someone to sign for it, but he COULD NOT help unload it due to his advanced years. The unit arrived with only a driver in a box truck without even a dolly to use. The unit weighed 290 pounds. My elderly husband did help unload and was injured in the process. When I called the dispatcher to complain he said it was not their responsibility to unload it. This is an unforgivable business practice in my mind. He knew only an elderly man was there and sent only one man with no equipment. I am completely disappointed in this company and their irresponsible delivery practices. .If you use them, don't expect your packages to be actually "delivered"

They received the shipment from a larger trucking co. to deliver to me. I called to reschedule the delivery. They were very accommodating. It was delivered well packaged and protected. After reading some of the other comments I was concerned, but these were great, friendly people! I would use them again if the need arises.

they should be out of bussiness. Lie to you on the phone & try to charge extra for shipping. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

This is the most horrible shipping company EVER! Do not let anything get into their hands - you never know when you might get it. The guy answering the phones never can give you the same answer twice. I have been waiting on a shipment that they have for over a week now and they can't seem to manage to put it on the truck to bring it to me. Keep giving excuses and they are never the same. WARNING TO ALL!

They are supposedly a next day delivery service...but they have had our stuff for three extra days. When my hubby called to ask them about it, the manager actually said "We have no drivers, come get it yourself" and hung up!! They are HORRIBLE!!!!
