The School offers a professional training program based in Los Angeles, study abroad opportunities in Italy and workshops across the US, Canada and Europe. It is founded by Italian teacher and director Paola Coletto. Paola Coletto is one of forty students in the world to receive a Master's Degree as a pedagogical specialist under the French teacher Jacques Lecoq in Paris. The work proposed at The School is grounded in the European-based tradition of physical theatre, but many different experiences and approaches have contributed to shape the vision that brought The School to its current form: a laboratory for artistic and personal research that, through discovery and experimentation, combines intense physical training with personal growth to create the success desired for the specific career paths of each participant; from original or text-based stage work to TV and film.

The work is grounded in the European-based tradition of “physical theatre” where body, gesture, and play are placed at the centre of the creative process with the main focus on supporting performers in their specific career paths. The teaching provides students with an all-around platform of tools to be used to support their artistic journey whatever direction they choose to take: from text-based stage work, television and film, to original theater creations. This training is primarily geared toward artists in the discipline of performance but it equally benefits directors, playwrights, designers, teachers, circus artists, dancers, choreographers, singers and musicians.
