A must go if you enjoy the Jewish deli. Sandwiches on their tasty rye bread, potato salad is a must try and you have to be silly not to stop at the bakery and take some goods home.

The pastrami was not as good as Langer's. I won't go the slightly extra distance to come here. I did like the cookies and pastries sold in the front of the restaurant, but they are expensive.

So many things to choose from in the bakery, and they're (almost) all delicious. They'll even let you sample a little if you're having trouble deciding. Great for late night breakfast cravings. It's a diner, so that's how the decor goes, but it's spacious and has yummy comfort food.

Canter's fairfax restaurant has the best bagel in the neighborhood. The coffee is even better than starbuck. Love the location and service is great

Classic deli, with an amazing ceiling. The food is average. It's not amazing, but not terrible - some dishes are classic and excellent, though. Parking is mostly street - one small lot nearby.

The plates of pickles they give you when you sit are reason enough to visit. The menu is enormous and they have something for pretty much everyone. Huge salads and sandwiches that are the stuff of legends. The cobb salad is enough for two people to share. My old standard is ‘The Marilyn’ which is a simple grilled cheese and fries. The service is always great and hard to resist the bakery counter when paying the check.

The BEST

Ya gotta stop by for a Corn Beef on Rye or a classic Reuben Sandwich.
Also, a snort in the little bar couldn't hurt!

Great for late night dining

Canter's is certainly a Los Angeles icon. It's not really about the place itself (the service and food are fine, not great), but rather the patrons. Especially in the late hours, it's a cross section of everyday people, bohemians, and Hollywood types.

Crappy service. But an Icon

Around forever but because they have been they give crap service. Overpriced but decent food. Pastrami nothing like JohnniesPastrami which is king.

24-Hour Bliss

What can I say about Canter's that hasn't been said or thought by thousands before me? The best 24-hr deli in the world; like going to eat at grandma's house. One of the only places I can stand to patronize anymore!! I LOVE CANTER'S!!!
