Overall
Portrait Studio Manager

I am sad for this JcPenney. Sad because JcPenney is a great place and the manager at the photo center at the Park Meadows Mall ruined the faith I had in this retailer. I grew up going to JcPenney's wherever we lived--if it was for pictures, clothes, haircuts..etc...So I didn't think twice when I was considering places to go to get pictures done on my baby boy. I made an appointment and my mom and I showed up to get his pictures done. When we got there we waited about 15/20 mins until someone spoke to us about what kind of background we wanted/colors. Thats fine, I usually waited at Jcpenney for photo appointments and hair appointments, thats really understandable. Well, I told this girl (she's a short blonde with a nose piercing and a relaxed kind of style) that I wanted something sort of spring-y (since it was April). The attitude started right there. She told me that she didn't like taking pictures of babies on the spring background. I said, "Can we just try and see how it looks?". So she did agree on that, but was more insistent on the general baby blue background they use on any baby. Next we went in to get the photos taken. Right off the bat (and I quote) she said "You need to move out of my light"...this was when I was just trying to take my shoes off and waiting for her to tell me where to put him. So I moved. She told me where to put him and I listened. My son is 5 months old and guess what?!?!? He drools! I can't turn it off, or turn it down...it just happens. She scolds me, not in a nice way, that she can't dry clean this background. I'm thinking, ok, makes sense, and I do my best to wipe up his drool whenever I can. While she's taking pictures of my son we were trying to get his attention with a stuffed dog we brought. She actually snapped at my Mom and told her "Ok!! You're holding the dog too high". Meanwhile, I'm scooting all over the studio trying to get my sons drool wiped before the drool Nazi yells at me again. She then proceeds to snap at me again "Ok. You're right in my light". So I move. Before I have a chance to do anything else she is trying to reposition my son. Out of nowhere she says "I only have two arms!". Like I'm instantly supposed to know what in the hell she wants me to do. Meanwhile she's frustrated at my baby because he's squirming. That was the last straw. I was very upset and I really didn't appreciate being treated like an idiot by a girl who is the manager and dresses crappy (unprofessional) just because my baby is drooling and she can't handle it. If she was having a bad day, well we all have them. She should've called into work. If she's like this normally then she probably doesn't like babies/children and needs to get a new job. I will never be returning to JcPenney portrait studios again.
