Uptown Pups

All of the groomers there are exceptional, kind and it is a very clean, calm environment. What makes or breaks how a groom turns out is how the dogs behave and if you get them groomed enough to maintain their coat. They put safety first, and that says alot! If the pup is good and in good coat condition they will get a perfect trim!

Gosh, I'm almost speechless after reading the first review. I think Julie Rosa is amazing - and I have a Cairn Terrier that has to be groomed down to his toenails. She is the first groomer who has done him properly and he's 8 years old! Not only that, Andy LOVES to see Julie. No hanging back at the door as he's been known to do. I'd give her 5 starts any day - and I WILL!

Julie Rosa is a HORRIBLE dog groomer and calling herself a “Master” groomer is MEANINGLESS!!!!! The first 2 months Julie cut my 2 toy dogs they really looked great. But for the last 6-7 months she is very inconsistent at best! For example, twice in a row she didn't clip my dog’s nails, remove hair from their ears, both cuts were so choppy and uneven that it look like she was in a hurry or just doesn't care or worst, doesn’t know how!! Both of my dogs still had mats behind both ears and fist full of mats had to be cut out by me the VERY DAY I picked them up from their grooming. When I asked her to fix this given I just picked them up, she eventually replied that it would cost her money to redo them, felt I was being to picky and told me to find another groomer even though this was the ONLY time I asked her to redo my dogs due to her a really POOR grooming effort. (To be fair, I did have to take one back a few months ago when I asked her to shave his tummy for surgery, she forgot, readily admitted to forgetting and shaved him as originally requested when I returned).

Unfortunately it is not just me, TWO other referrals I have sent her (in those early months) have also recently left her for the same problems. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this place to anyone again, am embarrassed for those I already recommended given she has turn out to be so unprofessional and arrogant. I seriously caution you to AVOID Julie Rosa at all costs!!!!!
