- Dr. Robert Berry earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville before getting his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. During his internship years after medical school, Dr. Berry was selected as intern of the year. He was accepted into the Tulane ophthalmology residency program in New Orleans where he served as chief resident during his senior year. Dr. Berry then went on for an extra year studying corneal disease and corneal transplantation before entering private practice in Little Rock.Dr. Berry has a special interest in cataract and corneal surgery. He performed the first LASIK refractive surgery procedure in Arkansas as well as the first Descemets Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK) in the state. DSEK is a special new type of corneal transplant that has lately become the standard surgery for over half of all the corneal transplants done in the United States.

Provided by Doctor.comI had cataracts in both eyes done this year with Dr. Berry. The staff is supportive, thorough and caring with each step of the process. Dr. Berry is top in my opinion; my surgeries went smoothly, and I did not even need a tylenol post op. The surgery nurses and staff are amazing.

I had cataract surgery done on my right eye at the Fairpark Surgery center done by Dr.. Robert Berry. I was very impressed with the quality of care I received there from the physician and the staff. Each staff member introduced themselves and told me what to expect.
