Speedway Motors

My elderly parents (over 70 and sickly dad) bought a car from Dan (THE OWNER) at Speedway Motors. The first problem was no registration for weeks. She then had to pay over $200.00 for a spare key. Then exhaust fumes in the car on top of a mold like smell. Fearing their safety, my mom went to a reputable mechanic and paid over $1,600.00 on a catalytic converter, flex pipe and a dipstick. IT DIDN'T HAVE A DIPSTICK OR TUBE. I was told this car should have never passed inspection. When i told Dan all the troubles he said "Im not a mechanic" and through his mechanic under the bus (Brite Star Automotive Inc). Dan did take the car ( after mom got motor vehicle involved). He had a few things fixed to appease motor vehicle. Oh yeah!! before he took the car we requested a full refund plus the extras. He said "That wouldn't be fair to me". There is rust in the spare tire and jack well. WHAT'S THAT? I also put my hand through the floor board and the front end was falling out (alot of play). Oh! and the reason why they needed a reliable car, was to take dad back and fourth to doctors and the hospital (which Dan was told). Another thing when my mom asked Dan if he would sell this car to his mother he said "Sure why not?). (I guess he dosen't like his mother). I am sure there is more that i dont remember. Needless to say I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A CAR FROM DAN AT SPEEDWAY MOTORS.
