Dr. Kline attended Seton Hall University from 1962 to 1966 where he obtained a Bachelors in Chemistry. He graduated with honors such as: Magna Cum Laude, Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Medical Honor Society President, and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then attended Medical School at Jefferson Medical College of Philadelphia. His Residency was completed at New York University — Bellevue Hospital. During his residency years he served as a Military Lt. Commander, USN, Medical Corps-Retired Vietnam Era from 1970-1977. Dr. Kline has performed over 7000 Arthroscopic procedures since 1977. He performed the first Arthroscopic ACL Reconstruction at UMDNJ University Hospital and the first Hip Arthroscopy within UMDNJ Orthopaedics Program. Dr. Kline has received multiple awards including being named one of: “America’s Top Physicians” picked by Consumers Research of America.

In other cases, this is a result of the child birthing process. During childbirth, the sacroiliac joints must stretch to accommodate the birthing process. In some cases, the sacroiliac joints do not return to normal position. This abnormal position creates additional stress on the joints and can accelerate the degenerative process.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
The Carpal Tunnel is composed of a narrow passage that begins on the palm side of the wrist and extends up the arm. This tunnel serves to protect the main nerve to the hand and the nine tendons that allow for the bending of the fingers. When this nerve becomes compressed the symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome may arise.

Sciatica
The onset of spinal stenosis is most often a result of the aging process and may begin naturally to those in their 40’s and 50’s. However, Spinal Stenosis may have an early onset as a result of certain genetic conditions, trauma or arthritic conditions. Spinal Stenosis can occur in both the cervical (neck) and lumbar spine (lower back) but is more common in the lumbar spine. Lumbar spinal stenosis is often an underlying cause of what is known as Sciatica.

1966 was the year that Dr. Morton Farber opened his orthopedic surgery practice in Elizabeth, NJ. He provided high-quality orthopedic care along with a genuine neighborly concern for patients’ well being. Dr. Walter Pedowitz became his partner in 1978. Meanwhile, Dr. John Kline had begun his orthopedic practice in Linden, NJ in 1977. In 1981, these two practices were combined to create a premier orthopedic practice with comprehensive capabilities.

Hip Replacement
Dr. Ghobrial took a special interest in hip and knee reconstruction. After residency he completed additional training in a fellowship in hip and knee replacements/revisions at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. While there, he underwent advanced training in hip and knee reconstruction including Minimally Invasive Direct Anterior Hip Replacement under the direction of distinguished surgeon Dr. Marc Hungerford. The minimally invasive technique allows patients to have their hips replaced with a smaller incision, shorter recovery time, and often gets patients back to their normal routines faster. His fellowship provided him with a broad experience to not only surgical treatments but also non-operative treatment modalities including therapy, injections, and medications.

Tennis Elbow is a term commonly used to describe a pain in the elbow brought on by repetitive strain of the tendons of the elbow. This condition is brought on by repeated contraction of the muscles in the forearm that are used to raise and extend the arm. After graduate school, she attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she received her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. She then went on to complete her 3-year surgical residency in Podiatric Medicine and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at University Hospital – UMDNJ in Newark, New Jersey. She received comprehensive training at a Level I Trauma Center where she learned from top surgeons in the field.
