Oral Cancer Screening
Did you know that in the United States, one person dies every hour from oral cancer? Oral cancer has a cure rate of more than 80 percent—if it is detected and treated early. The mortality rates are high because diagnoses come too late. Very few patients are properly screened by their dentists. At our practice, we perform an oral cancer screening with every exam. We utilize an advanced cancer screening technology so that we can detect problems early on. Five minutes could save your health.

Teeth Cleaning
A dental cleaning is a professional cleaning you receive from a dentist or dental hygienist. Cleanings should be performed every six months to prevent excessive plaque buildup. Plaque left untreated can lead to unhealthy gums and tooth decay. A routine dental cleaning should include scaling, root planing and polishing.
Fluoride Treatment
Dental Sealants
Although regular visits to the dentist and good oral hygiene habits are the best ways to prevent tooth decay, there are some circumstances in which we may recommend dental sealants.

Fillings
Resin Composite
Fillings – When you have a cavity, we remove the portion of the tooth that is decayed, then use a dental filling to seal the tooth and prevent future decay from occurring. Composite resin is the most common material used for dental fillings, as it matches the color of the rest of the tooth for natural-looking results. If tooth decay is significant, we may choose inlays or onlays instead, which are lab-created porcelain fillings that cover most of the tooth.
Veneers
When we use the indirect veneer technique, two appointments are needed. During the first, your teeth are prepared for the veneers by removing a thin layer of enamel. Next, impressions are taken and temporary veneers are placed to protect your teeth. Your impressions are sent to a dental laboratory where veneers are fabricated from thin layers of porcelain or pressed ceramic that look like your real teeth, only better. In two to three weeks, your veneers come back from the laboratory; we remove your temporary veneers and bond the permanent veneers in place.

Overdentures
