High Meadows Academy

Initially, I enrolled my daughter in a corporate pre-school that looked great -- nice interior design, state-of-the-art security system. But I should have known not to judge a book by its cover. The teachers were awful and the curriculum was non-existant. High Meadows was our next choice, and we are so thankful for all they do for our daughter. What we love about High Meadows is: it is run by seasoned former elementary school teachers...not young twenty-somethings who look like they just rolled out of bed; they use a very specific, enriching curriculum, they teach in themes and incorporate the week's theme into special dress-up days and festivals, lunch menus, special guest visitors, and craft projects; they expect parents to take stock in their child's progress by reviewing classwork on a weekly basis and signing acknowledgement forms, they use positive discipline techniques, they hire a professional music teacher to visit bi-weekly and sing songs with the kids. RUN-don't walk!
