Is a Child and Adult Psychiatrist with over 20 years experience working with children, teens and adults. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in Adult Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. As director of Psychiatry & Family Counseling, he has assembled a talented staff of caring clinicians who have provided the children and families of central Massachusetts with the highest quality of mental health services. His professional career has been based on listening to children and families while providing guidance with their mental health development. He has expertise in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Asperger’s Syndrome. His training and experience prepare him to provide individual and family psychotherapy, as well as psychopharmacology (medication) treatment. He is also involved in consultation to schools and group homes. Dr. Levy attended Duke University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He received his medical degree from Howard University School of Medicine. His adult psychiatry residency training was at the University of Colorado Medical Center. His child psychiatry fellowship was at Boston Children’s Hospital/Judge Baker Guidance Center. Prior to founding Psychiatry & Family Counseling, he was the first Director of Child Psychiatry Services at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine in Worcester, Massachusetts.
