Primary Care
Please bring your insurance card and identification to the center on the day of your procedure. We will need to make a copy for your medical record. If your insurance plan requires a referral, please obtain the referral from your primary care physician and bring it to your appointment or ask your doctor to fax it to our office at 703.858.9801.
Immunizations
Please note that according to Virginia State law, we are only required to maintain patient medical records for six years from the last patient encounter with the following exceptions: 1) Records of a minor child, including immunizations, must be maintained until the child reaches the age of 18 or becomes emancipated, with a minimum time for record retention of six years from the last patient encounter regardless of the age of the child; 2) Records that have previously been transferred to another practitioner or health care provider or provided to the patient or his personal representative; or 3) Records that are required by contractual obligation or federal law to be maintained for a longer period of time.

Plastic Surgeons

Botox
For patients who wish to look and feel younger, our physicians offer Botox injections. These injections can also help treat certain medical conditions.
Eyelid Surgery
A good candidate for an internal browpexy is someone who is already having a blepharoplasty or other eyelid surgery and someone who has mild to moderate eyelid or brow drooping. During an internal browpexy, your eye doctor will create an incision in the crease of your eyelid. Next, they will secure your eyebrow to the lining of your eyebrow bone. This procedure is outpatient, meaning you will get to go home the same day.
Blepharoplasty
A medical blepharoplasty is a procedure that can help improve droopy eyelids. In some cases, drooping eyelids can interfere with your peripheral vision. In more severe cases, drooping lids can affect your central vision. A medical blepharoplasty is different from a cosmetic blepharoplasty in that the goal of the medical blepharoplasty is not only cosmetic. It is performed because the droopy eyelids are interfering with the patient’s vision and is designed to improve the visual function of the patient.

Botox is often the best option for patients looking for a temporary way to look younger without resorting to more permanent methods like cosmetic surgery.

Lesions
In most cases, treatment is not necessary for eyelid lesions or growths. However, your eye doctor may recommend a biopsy to determine whether or not further treatment is necessary. You may want the lesion removed for cosmetic reasons, or it may interfere with your vision. For these reasons, your eye doctor may perform a lid lesion excision.
