Marty is extremely reliable and trustworthy and loves our pets as much as we do! We are son happy to have found her.

Marty has been taking care of my two beagles for almost 8 months now. We can go away knowing that they will be fine with her until we get back. We are going through some challanging times right now with me being on a major project all week and my wife shuttling back & forth from Florida to take care of her ailing Mom. Marty has been with my pets more than I have in the past few months and they have grown very fond of her, she gives them the love and attention they need. Not to mention that Cheyenne the female needs to be on medications and Marty makes sure shes getting them. Shooter & Cheyenne have found a new friend in Marty as well as me and my wife. I recommend her for all of your pet needs.

We have two cats. One is diabetic and requires insulin injections, so we could never leave them alone overnight. I searched the area and finally found Marty. She is always willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the "babies" are well taken care of. She leaves wonderful notes and calls with questions or concerns. Marty is truly amazing!

Marty watched our dog for us while we were out of town. She was so loving with him! She went the extra mile to spend quality time with him and make sure he felt loved and comfortable while we were gone. You could tell that she genuinely cares for the animals she watches/walks. She left notes for us from every visit and they were so cute I kept them. We returned home to find our dog happy and our home in great shape. She even put the dishes away that I left out to dry! We would use her again in a heartbeat!!

Marty is the best pet sitter ever. She is awesome with the animals! They see her and get super excited. She goes above and beyond walking them, playing with them, and cleaning up after them. She even cleaned my house and folded the laundry. She is super!

For the Love of the Animals is the perfect name to describe Marty's dog sitting/walking business. From the moment I met Marty I knew instantly that she was the perfect person to take care of our two dogs. She made me feel at ease leaving my dogs in her care while we were out of town and our dogs love their daily afternoon time with Marty. And I use the word time because not only does she give them a great long walk, she gives them extra tlc. I love coming home to her recap of the day, or if I am out of town, she sends us texts to ease my nervous tendencies.

Had Marty watch my two dogs for 10 days. This is the first time that I have used a profressional pet sitter and I must say I will never use a kennel again. Marty took such good care of my dogs and kept my apartment clean and neat at the same time. Marty is professional and her passion for animals speaks volumes. My canine kids absolutely love their "Aunt Marty" -- that is, Marty Fitzgerald proprietor For the Lover of the Animals. My canine kids, a couple of which have challenging personalities, bonded with Marty immediately. Likewise, it is evident through her dedication and care, that Marty has become very fond of my dogs.



Marty is extremely dependable and flexible -- frequently accommodating requests for service with minimal notice. Upon each visit, Marty leaves a cute note often advising of one or more of the silly, adorable attributes displayed by my dogs during her visit. This feedback provides ongoing reassurance that my kids are receiving the best of care in my absence.

Marty is great with my greyhounds. The dogs love her and for a very reasonable fee, I get peace of mind knowing that they aren't left alone for longer than they should be each day. She does a great job and is one of only a few people I found who is willing to head out towards Lovettsville to give the dogs a run outside, some well deserved TLC and treats.

Marty was wonderful with our two babies. Both were happy and energized when we came home. We felt absolutely comfortable going out of the country and Marty being the only person taking care of them.



Our house was as clean as when we left, she did a great job making sure the little accidents were cleaned up. We always know when it rains they are bad, we had asked her to kennel them when it rained and she did....



She also made an extra visit to see them on the day we came home. She was worried about the time we were to arrive and it just so happened our flight was extremely late.



It made us feel great to know she went above and beyond to make sure the babies were not left alone for too many hours.

My wife and I recently got a new yellow lab puppy. We were referred to Marty by a co-worker that had raved about her quality service. Marty came over to visit and meet us and our puppy named River. Immediately you could tell that Marty was a genuine animal lover. River took to her instantly and that was the start to a beautiful friendship. Marty has gone out of her way to accommodate our schedule on last minute visits. She has also repeatedly gone above and beyond her allotted time to ensure that our young puppy got the care and attention she needed. With both my wife and I working full time I don't know how we could have managed without Marty's assistance. Marty has worked with us to enforce the training we are doing such as walking style, food and treat reinforcement, bell ringing at the door to go outside and limit barking, etc. I would highly recommend her services to anyone I know in the Loudoun /Fairfax area that needs a trustworthy dog walker / sitter.

was so worried about leaving my two new cats home alone and got in touch with Marty. I found her to be very caring towards the animals, as if they were her own. My cats warmed up to her right away and I left knowing they would be left in good hands! Not only did Marty stay for the time she was requested, she often stayed longer just because she loved the animals so much! Her business name is truly representative of her and her character, she just loves the animals! Additionally, she would keep in touch daily, calling me to let me know how the cats were doing! I thought that was a very nice gesture, and when I arrived home, I even found a journal of the cats' daily activities! It was a great surprise and nothing made me happier than to know the cats had made a new best friend!

We couldn't have been any happier with Marty's services. We were gone for 10 days and have domestic and exotic animals...The care they received was as good as if we were there ourselves and Marty left daily logs to let us know what was going on. In addition the rate is EXTREMELY reasonable for the service that you get.....a significant savings from using a kennel with less stress on the pets.

I was absolute knocked-over with the level of service Marty provided. Not only did she take excellent care of my 3 dogs and one cat, but she left detailed notes of each visit. I really didn't expect that nor did I expect the little extras that she did for us like sweeping around the litter box and taking out the trash. She was just amazing!

We just moved into the area and needed a cat sitter right away. We felt bad leaving our cat alone so soon in a new house, but were at ease leaving him in Marty's care. Maggie sees Marty coming and her little tail starts wagging 90 miles an hour. Marty truly loves animals and puts their care first. She walks Maggie 5 days a week, and makes sure she has plenty of water and then leaves me a detailed note on their walks each day. Marty is very reliable and I know my little Maggie is in good hands.
