Montana Rail Link is a regional Class II railroad with more than 900 miles of track serving over 100 stations in Montana, Idaho and state of Washington. The rail link connects with the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway at Laurel and Garrison, Mont., and Spokane, Wash., and the Union Pacific Railroad at Sandpoint, Idaho. It is a privately held facility and operates a fleet of more than 2,100 freight cars and over 150 locomotives. It provides a wide range of services, including, freight tracking, locomotive leasing, and property and supply management services. Montana Rail Link's fully equipped facility also offers inspections, maintenance, and repair of emergency medical and dispatching locomotives. The facility also provides experienced consultants for the repair and purchase of locomotives and freight cars. The facility is located in Laurel, Mont.
