When you go to them with a problem they treat you like you are trying to cheat them.



They left a candle wax like stain on my coat and hid it by the way the folded it and asked me to pay again when I took it back and showed them.



Very expensive, rude and sneaky.

I've had no problems with their dry cleaning services but their alternations service has been inconsistent. throughout the years. Today was the last straw for me. I took in a brand new pair of Banana Republic pants (as in, not cheap) and asked for them to be hemmed to half an inch from the floor. I picked them up today, put them on, and realized they were shorter than 1/2 an inch from the ground. I went back to complain. First she tried to argue that they were not shorter than a 1/2 inch from the ground. I asked her to get a measuring tape. She said they were only 3/4 inches from the ground and that it was MY fault they weren't hemmed properly - that when I tried on the pants when I brought them in, that I should have told her that I didn't think she had pinned them at the right height. What?! I told her it was not my fault and ended up getting into a back and forth, unproductive conversation so I finally said I just wanted the pants lowered without the old hem line showing. She said she didn't know if she could do that. I said that if she couldn't, I wanted them to reimburse me for the pants. Again, she said I should have told her that I didn't like the height when she pinned my pants. I was so angry at that point, but did not want to cause a scene, so I left. I did tell her, however, that I would not be returning again. An expensive pair of pants are ruined and her attempt to blame me for not being able to tell that she had pinned the pants higher than 1/2 an inch from the floor is absurd.
