I have been a hot rod guy since I was 13 years old, and now I am as my wife says a "fossil".........but in all the car guys I have known I have to say Keith is the best I have ever worked with. That red and white 55 chev you see on his web page, that is mine, I wouldnt ever trust anyone working on this car but Keith. He is a master, he is creative, and he wont do it unless it is done right. Trust this guy, he will become your friend. You will love his work

I moved here about a year ago & I've been to many shops in town. Basically every other shop would rip me off! They wouldn't fix the problem but but charge $100's of dollars & wouldn't stand behind their work! But a coworker recommended SWING SHIFT AUTO. Keith is the owner & he does all the mechanical work. He's honest, talented, people skills. I don't know much about cars & he takes his time & effort to explain to you about what's wrong with your vehicle & show you what your paying for. After taking my car to Pep Girls thinking it needed a starter, I was told they would need to run a diagnostic on the car for $89.00. I said ok. They called me and said yes, I do need a starter. I authorized it. They then called back and said it's not the starter, it's the ignition switch AND lock cylinder, AND the starter to the tune of $720.00. They said the parts are not in town and would have to be ordered. I called around and located the parts, but along the way was told that if the key rotated, why do I need a lock cylinder? I pulled the car and had it towed to Keith at Swing Shift Auto. He accurately diagnosed it and it turned out to be a faulty Park Nutural Position Switch. The part was $30.00. I also learned that most franchises like Firestone, Goodyear, Purrfect Auto, Tire Works, And Pep Girls don't hire very qualified mechanics. They also try to upsell every customer that walks through the door. They use cheap quality parts. Most often doing more damage to your car along the way. Keith was professional, courtious, honest, accurate, has over 25 years experience and is certified a Master Technician by ASE. What also made me comfortable was he's a one man show. No iddle man, no miscommunication. Does everything himself. Keeps a clean facility. And you can tell his love for the automobile and prefessionalism seperates him from the people just trying to make a quick buck! Highly recommended!

Keith the owner & mechanic of Swing Shift Auto is very smart & intelligent, he knows what he's doing! I was recommended to Swing Shift Auto after another repair shop destroyed my vechicle, I had to tow it out of there. Keith cleaned up there mess & put the right parts where they belong. The other shop split alot of the wires, so Keith re-wired it. He's the best, glad I found my mechanic!
