Firm Description gk3 architecture is a Nevada State Board of Architecture registered design firm owned and operated by husband and wife team architects Gemie and Kevin Knisely. Gemie and Kevin have been operating gk3 together in Las Vegas since 2003. Owner's Gemie Knisely (NSBA 5442) and Kevin Knisely (NSBA 4560) are both Nevada registered architects. When you hire gk3 you deal directly with your project architect 100% of the time. Professional services include complete architectural design as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering. The team self perform all disciplines and offer expertise in commercial and residential architecture. This approach to design, through the construction document phase, alleviates project coordination from clients and ensures thorough project coordination for each of the design disciplines. Whether you are planning for a small home addition, building a coffee shop, retail store, building a new office or restaurant, planning your dream house or investing in a commercial property for development gk3 architecture is interested in meeting all of your design and construction document needs. gk3 believes in offering high quality designs at an affordable rate. Mr. Knisely's career began in Buffalo, New York. He started as a home builder and then moved to New York City and managed renovation projects on renowned structures such as the Chrysler Building and Rockefeller Center while he attended the PRATT Institute School of Architecture. Since then he has come to Las Vegas, obtained his registration, and has worked on projects such as the McCarran Airport D gates expansion and he was the project architect on the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. Mrs. Knisely is a native Nevadan who grew up in Boulder City, Nevada. She is a graduate of the UNLV School of Architecture Master's Program and has worked with Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects and Paul Steelman Design Group, both located in the Las Vegas valley. Mrs. Knisely has built her career operating gk3 architecture and is one of the few architect's to have obtained their registration by the age of 25.
