I tried Answer America... it s...

I tried Answer America... it seemed like a good idea. but the level of professionalism on the phone is disturbing. the young people are rude and distracted. Messages wrong or misspelled. My initial $50 disappeared over night with no explanation of how. I never received 50 message or close to that. I've written to their management and that has gone unanswered. I should have given the money to a homeless person... I would feel so much better.

I am the receptionist at a company that has used Answer America for over 20 years but recently a new manager wanted to try another service and we found that we greatly missed Answer America. The two girls over at Answer America were so on the ball that they called to verify our telephones had been forwarded properly.

I am happy that tmy company decided to continue with Answer America because the service is great. We have had our occasional small items with new people they train over 20 years but no one can compare to the service we received at Answer America. I thank them for making my job easier.

have been a customer of Answe...

I have been a customer of Answer America for several months and didn't have any emergency calls until recently.



But on June 9, 2011, my dog was at the vet for what I thought was a routine matter, so I left work to run some errands & then went home. My cell phone wasn't working, but Answer America had my home phone number & I thought they would contact me if there was a problem.



At 6:30 pm, the vet called & reached Answer America. He said he was at the Animal Emergency Hospital & to please give me a message to call about my pet.



So what did the operator do? Why he treated it as if it were a routine call from a solicitor or something that was of no importance at all. He emailed a message, which I did not receive because my cell phone was out. He never tried to call me at my home.



When I spoke to the manager at Answer America Answering Service the next day, she told me that the operator had just followed protocal because "THE DOCTOR DIDN'T SAY IT WAS AN EMERGENCY!" I guess the operator didn't hear the word EMERGENCY in the name of the place the doctor called from.

As a result of the laziness & indifference of the staff and management of Answer America Answering Service, my beloved Papillon Gigi bled to death because the Animal Emergency Center doctor didn't say the "magic word" EMERGENCY. Had the operator put the call through to my house, I could have authorized Gigi to have a blood transfusion and she could have survived.



I can't understand how anyone who picks up a phone with a call from a Doctor calling from the Animal Emergency Center calling about someone's pet could fail to recognize that this is an important emergency call.



With the caliber of service Answer America Answering Service provided me on June 9, 2011, I could have let an answering machine take my calls. And I wouldn't have relied on an answering machine to call me in case of an emergency as I unfortunately relied on Answer America. I am heartbroken over having made the unfortunate decision to trust Answer America with my business & personal life.
