St. George Fuel

I took my 2003 Suzuki (it was on nonoperated status for about five years) to St. George Fuel (STAR Test-Only) in Lakewood, for a smog test. After we agreed about the price ($59.99) I had to fill in the form; I had to do this while I was standing up, outside, in front of the garage door. The owner of the business checked the car (it took him forever); he didn’t actually have to do the tailpipe emissions inspection because “OBDII not ready”. I wanted to pay and he told me that he accepts only cash. Outside, wasn’t any sign mentioning this detail. He took me inside the office and he showed me the sign. I asked him why he didn’t mention it before he started the work because from the outside I could not see the inside the office note and he said that this was not required… Then, he didn’t want to give me back my keys (all my house /office keys were together with my car key) until I went to get the cash. Also, he didn’t specify anything about the price for the second smog test attempt until I asked about the next step. The STAR Test-Only places will do the test for “pass or don’t pay”; the owner said that he’s not my slave and he doesn’t work for free, so the next time will cost me $39.99. This was the worse experience of my life with a smog test place!
