Had a new problem with my A/C today (108F!) and while Ric literally had 15 people ahead of me in line, somehow he managed to troubleshoot my system BY PHONE!!! To be fair, I am mechanically competent, but while he was working on another client's unit (which he fixed by the way) all the while taking a steady stream of calls for his services, he still took the time to walk me through a troubleshoot because he couldn't get to me right away. I mean, WHO DOES THAT?!? I ended up getting a $5 part across town, which he put on his own account (since they were closing for the weekend in less than 5 minutes!) and his diagnosis was spot on! I easily replaced the part, and I am back in COLD air again! I can't even count the number of repair guys I've dealt with who would have (and did) shamelessly charge me a $250 house call and then another $100 for parts just to do what he walked me through, and while he's multi-tasking, no less! How often do you encounter that kind of honesty and conscience in the service industry anymore these days? I feel a little better about our community knowing I can at least tell everyone with certainty about one place that will treat you like a neighbor and friend, and not just a PAYING customer: Chavarrie HVAC!
