OUR HISTORY: Owner and operator Joseph Farish, Jr., Esquire, a lifelong resident, is a noted attorney, philanthropist and decorated World War II veteran. A D-Day survivor, he served with the Big Red One First Infantry Division and also fought in the North African, Sicilian and European campaigns, earning five battle stars. Following World War II, Farish operated a successful Lincoln-Mercury Dealership and, as a reward for outstanding performance, the Ford Motor Company sent him to Normandy in 2004 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the D-Day landing. At the Omaha Beach Cemetery, he was asked to give the invocation and place a wreath. This touching ceremony moved him to fulfill a dream of helping all families in their time of loss. When the site adjacent to the South Florida VA National Cemetery became available, he immediately sought approval to build the Palm Beach National Chapel, noting. This is an important way to give back and serve families in this area and to honor Palm Beach Count veterans. Amenities
Urns Regardless of your choice for final disposition of your loved ones cremated remains, you will need to choose a couple different containers. The first is either a casket or specially designed container for the funeral visitation and transfer of your loved one to our crematory. The second container is an Urn to hold the cremated remains. You have many elegant choices in wide-ranging styles and sizes constructed of solid-cast bronze, pewter, hardwoods, plastics, and other durable materials. You can also enhance the urn through personalization choices that distinguish your loved ones cherished life. Urns are permanent containers for the cremated remains. A wide range of prices appropriate for burial, niches, scattering, keepsakes or discreet placement in a home are available. Your personal plans for the final placement of the urn can play an important part in your selection process. Urn Vaults If you plan on ground burial for the urn, most cemeteries require it be placed in an urn vault. Lined urn vaults give urns varying levels of protection from subsoil elements and the weight of the earth and cemetery maintenance equipment. A lined urn vault is made of high-strength concrete and reinforced with durable plastic or a combination of durable plastic & metal.

If I could award zero stars, I would. Avoid Palm Beach National Chapel. The funeral director there, Cedric Cosby, FORGOT to schedule the interment for my father, who passed away in December. We'd scheduled a memorial service for six weeks after his passing, with the service to precede the internment.

Two weeks before the service, Mr. Cosby called to say that he'd been contacted by the cemetery to say that it would not be performing interments in the afternoon and that we'd have to reschedule for the morning of February 9. This meant my having to recontact more than 150 family and friends from all over the country, to tell of the change in schedule, with the interment occurring in the morning, and then having to wait around for an hour and a half to hold the memorial service.

As I learned the next day from the cemetery, Mr. Cosby had lied to us. The cemetery didn't suddenly decide not to hold interments; Mr. Cosby had only gotten around to calling the cemetery to schedule the interment the day before -- four weeks after we'd made the arrangements -- by which time there were only two early-morning slots left.

I confronted him over his lie and insisted on his being replaced with a different funeral director. Not once did we receive an apology from the memorial chapel. Everyone else there was equally deceitful, all just trying to cover their butts.

In addition, Mr. Cosby was supposed to alert my mother before his body was cremated. He forgot that too; she learned he'd been cremated a full week after the fact.

There are many other examples of the utter incompetence displayed by PBMC. But far worse was its employees deceitfulness, which only added to our distress during a sad time.

Whatever you do, hold your loved one's funeral or memorial service elsewhere. These people are the worst. And its parent company, Stone-Mor, is no better. We never received so much as an apology from them either. The worst of the worst.
