Sunshine Walk-In Urgent Care Clinic

I went here with my son because he had a bad sore throat. The nurse did a strep test and I truly believe she didn't get a good sample. That came back negative, but they prescribed an antibiotic for his ear that was a "bit" red. He took that and fast forward two weeks later and I was diagnosed with strep! I called them back to let them know and to ask if they can prescribe something stronger without going in since I had already paid $75 for the initial visit and that the medicine they gave him clearly did not work as he was still experiencing a sore throat. I called them and left messages all day for someone to please call me if this was possible so that I wouldn't have to pay for another office visit somewhere else and NOBODY EVER had the decency or professionalism to call me back. Well thank god I took him to the Walgreens clinic, where he was diagnosed with strep. So whatever test they did was wrong as I suspected and the medicine prescribed had not worked and they didn't even bother to call me back. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Rude. Uncaring.

I am so fortunate that I was referred to the nice people at this office. The staff were all professional and polite, and Dr. Gupta showed great knowledge, and treated me and staff members with the highest respect. Follow ups were made at convenient times, and my prescriptions were called in even before I left the office. I have found a permanent home for myself and my family.

Words cannot express how upset I am with this place. I went in today with an awful sore throat. Turns out, it's early signs of strep according to the test I received. The Nurse Practitioner(who was nice) recommended amoxicillin. I told the lady at the front desk which pharmacy I wanted and then I left to go pick it up. They NEVER called in my prescription. I waited at Publix for an hr and nothing. I called the office and spoke to two different people who labeled themselves as after hours answering service. Neither one of them could tell me when my prescription would be filled. It's going on two 1/2 hours since I've left the office and Publix still hasn't received the prescription. Due to the fact that it's almost 7PM, I doubt I'm going to be able to start taking it tonight. I feel even worse now and have no antibiotic to knock this out. I'll NEVER go back here and I hope no one has to experience such horrific service from a doctors office.

This facility rates zero stars. My experience was disappointing to say the least. We are from out of state and were in need of medical services. The building was huge and we were not sure which door to enter, which was a big concern of ours since my husband is handicapped. I called the phone number listed and the mechanical voice said to leave a message which would be returned as soon as possible. We waited about 15 minutes and when there was no response, we went into the door that was closest to where we were parked. Unfortunately he was on the other end of the building. We entered the office and spoke to the receptionist, who looked like she would rather be any place other than there. We were told, in a very confused manner of communication, that the test we needed is only done once a week on a Thursday. Great we thought, today is Thursday... Oh but it has to be before 12:00 noon. So much for urgent care! Disgusted, we left and went to South Seminole Hospital and got the best service ever! My advice would be to go to Care Spot Walk-In. They were very caring, compassionate and professional. Unfortunately they didn't do the kind of testing we needed. However they were definitely a five-star facility.

I wish there was an option for NO stars, because that is what I would have rated this place. I will not be going back. If you are looking for a place that genuinely cares about you, then avoid this clinic. I went to be treated for a very bad sinus infection and paid the $85.00. The infection was better after antibiotics but not 100 percent. I simply needed a refill. I left a message for nurse Emily, and she did not even return my call. Not only did I not receive a refill, I didn't even receive a return phone call. Now I will have to go to another doctor and pay another $85 or so, to be given another round of antibiotics, when all I needed was a refill. Never again will I go here. They just want your money.

I would not recommend this office. They will tell you the price is one thing but then months later you will be called & told you owe double what you were told. I would have never gone into the clinic knowing I would have to pay as much as they are charging me now. It is an older building, supplies, etc and that is fine as I though it was keeping the cost down - NOT! Also, the front desk lady is nasty. I would not recommend!

I chose this place for the convenient hours. However, when I walked into the old building where this office is located, I felt like I was walking into an abandoned warehouse. Upon arriving, I was told that the Dr was on vacation, and they had not called me because they did not have my phone number. (Interesting, considering they had returned my call a week prior. Also, did they not know ahead of time that their Dr was taking vacation?) I paid my $75.00 copay to see the PA who did nothing more than listen to my heart and lungs and recommend that I make an appointment to see the Dr next week ( and again, pay my $75.00 copay). As I was leaving, I witnessed the Medical Assistant yell at the PA in front of me. The entire office is run down and dirty and the staff is unhelpful and unprofessional in appearance. This place was a waste of my time and money.
