My son's car was towed less than two miles and the bill was $445.55. I got my car out as quickly as possible since these guys are gouge in every possible way. In fact, it's illegal to charge this much. I looked it up. I filed a complaint with Texas TDLR and called my local city manager since the officer called this company. I reviewed the bill with another local towing company and they said they charge $186.65 with one day of storage. Stay away! I could go on and on with reasons why they overcharged, but I'll leave that to the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration.

Two Steppin Towing will gouge you on price

A friend of mine was driving my truck when he had an outstanding traffic warrant and got arrested. Two steppin picked up my truck and gouged me on price quite a bit. I know what should have been charged since I have worked for a wrecker service for a few years. They charged for almost an hour for labor and also for special equipment meaning a flatbed fee. They also charged an incident management fee. I see no reason to charge for special equipment or labor when you are picking up a running driving un damaged two wheel drive pickup. Also, why incident management fee on an arrest when it was in a parking lot with no other vehicles around? It takes 5 minutes to load a running and driving vehicle. Where was almost an hour labor involved? I have no idea. I will NEVER use these crooked people if I have any choice in the matter. I was over charged by $229. That is insane. The bill was over $300 and my truck was there in their possession for 30 minutes. CROOKS!

Girlfriend got pulled over and taken to jail for a warrant, and two step towing was called to pick her car up. 3 1/2 hours later (2:30AM) she calls and speaks to the owner about getting her car. He was rude on the phone, and stated it would be an hour before he could make it to the lot, an obvious attempt to sway her from getting her car right then so he didn't have to get out of bed and do his job.......confirmed when he shows up roughly 25-30 minutes later. We follow him in the office and he prints out her invoice, which was over $300.....obviously a huge hit on a 22 year old student who barely makes that in a week and a half of work, and has no family support. We reviewed the bill and she had questions. So I ask the first question......at this point still calm as can be, and the guy said he wasn't going to speak with me about the car, only to her. She proceeded to explain to him that I was speaking for her, he got louder and more hostile, telling me to get off of his property. I handed him my card and said we'd leave as soon as we paid the bill and got her car, at which point he THREW my credit card out the door on to the ground outside. When the police arrived (who he'd called because we wouldn't leave without the car), he lied to the officer about the chain of events. Next, he tells us that he was not going to accept a credit card, cash only. We finally were able to get the bill taken care of by debit card. The actions of this man who owns this company is shocking. He does not deserve to be awarded work from from a government office that is paid for by the same taxpayers that he is grossly overcharging. 11 miles; car sat in storage for approximately 3 hours- the bill was over $300. If you need a tow......do not call these guys. They'll take every opportunity to steal money where they can get away with it.

Best Towing Company Ever! Use these guys.

This is the best towing company ever! These people treat you like family. They will pick you up and drive you to their shop, (they even check to see how many people you have with you, before they leave, to make sure that everyone will fit), then make sure you have transportation home. The mechanics here really know what they are doing, and don't fix things that arent wrong....just to charge you more money. The company is well established and locally owned. If ever in need of repair or towing, or maybe both, be sure to call Technicians on Wheels or Two-Steppin Towing. Above all, their customer service is exceptional!!
