Wound and Fracture Care
Our experienced veterinarians conduct basic physical exams as well as pre-purchase exams. We support herd health, conduct sterilization procedures, perform parasite checks, and provide nutritional counseling. In addition to attending animals that are unwell due to sickness or disease, we also provide wound care and evaluate and treat lame or injured horses.

Ophthalmic Surgery
Macon County Veterinary Hospital performs routine surgical services including ovariohysterectomies (spays) and castrations (neuters), a wide variety of orthopedic surgeries including luxating patella repair, and soft tissue surgeries such as spleen removal, gall bladder removal, foreign object removal, eye surgery, nasal surgery, hernia repair, and more.
Veterinary Surgery
Dr. Miller grew up in Carrollton, Kentucky with his three older brothers and wonderful parents. He attended Murray State University, pursuing a degree in agriculture, before changing his focus to veterinary medicine. Dr. Miller obtained his veterinary prerequisites from the University of Kentucky, then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2006. After graduation, Dr. Miller worked in Ohio for 5 years in both mixed and small animal practices. In August 2011, he and his wife Nicole purchased Macon County Veterinary Hospital. His areas of interest include ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. His hobbies include fishing, golfing, home repair projects, and spending time with his family and pets.

Laboratory Services
Our wellness visits focus on preventative medicine based on the specific life-stage of your pet. Each patient is assessed individually based on factors such as species, breed, age, and environmental challenges. When your pet comes in for a wellness checkup, he or she will receive a comprehensive physical exam and age appropriate diagnostics such as blood work, blood pressure screening, checks for parasites and early signs of disease. An exam is also an excellent time to discuss with us any changes in your pet's health and behavior.
