I had an extremely bad experience with this company! Do yourself a favor and find a different Mover! Prior to my move, I did a lot of research and this company seemed very affordable in comparison to some others. They also had mostly positive reviews, so I gave them a try. I made a list of all of the items I needed moved, along with my address, type of house and destination I’d be moving to, and then called for a quote. I was quoted $$. I also asked how would they protect my furniture during the move and what would happen if anything was damage in the process. The owner himself, Joe Shaw, promised all furniture would be wrapped with plastic and clean moving blankets and if anything was damaged, it would be fixed or replaced with their insurance. I then took pictures of all of my items and emailed it to Joe for a written quote. In the email, he quoted me $200 more! When I reminded him of our telephone conversation 2 weeks prior, he honored the original quote. On the morning of the move, these guys were more than an hour late. Mr. Shaw rushed the entire time of the move. He also DID NOT wrap everything in plastic and clean blankets like he’d promise in his email and the very few pieces that were wrapped, were wrapped Horribly! Joe said that it would cost him too much to use plastic on every piece. He said it would be an extra charge. On top of that, he did not come prepared. One of his guys asked me to use my packaging tape! Their truck wasn’t big enough to fit all of my things so I ending up moving my dining chairs and a few other pieces separately in a rented U-Haul. But he still charged me the same amount. After everything was moved, I went back to the house to find a chipped piece of my entertainment center broken off left behind. I called him to let him know and he was very defensive stating that they were extremely careful; they could not be responsible for that. And was very short with me over the phone. He then called back and apologize and promised to fix any items that were damage due to the move. I ended up with 2 damaged pieces from this move. The move took place at the beginning of March 2014. Here we are in December 23rd, and my furniture is still not fixed! His excuse is he can’t get in touch with his repair guy! Find a different Mover!!
