Learning Curve

Have been waiting impatiently for 4 years for Lafayette to get my FAVORITE food--which for a native Cajun--is saying a lot. Hoping a learning curve is the issue, but I was so disappointed. Flavors were not recognizable as the Chipotle I've come to love from Florida to California. Have the cooks never tasted "real" Chipotle????? Please ship some in so they know what it should taste like. The white rice was not recognizable, chicken was dry, peppers not roasted. I had just eaten in an Austin store two days earlier and so had high expectations. I was so sad. Please step up or the first store won't make it here, and I don't want to have to travel to get my "fix"!

Great Food Great Company

The K Cavanagh review is just your typical close-minded anti progressive Lafayette native, who probably hasn't even tried Chipotl's food yet. Chipotle is amazing, great food and clean and trendy environment. There's a reason Chipotle is so successful. A quick glance at their website and you can find plenty of information about their ingredients and philanthropy. As far as burritos I usually get Barbacoa it's the perfect amount of spicy, an extra $1.95 for guac is a bit outrageous but oh well. There are plenty other restaurants to go to if you want Acadiana tradition over actual food quality.

Overall

Chipotle is opening in Lafayette.

These snobs are now creating an impossible dream to bring their form of "better than thou" attitude to one of the happiest places in America, friendly Lafayette. No one on their "team" will answer any questions or bring to light what they (Chipotle) brings to the Acadian people other than sales of overpriced (organic?) food and under paid staff. As the corporation grows their "quality standards" they diminish customer/vendor access by their secretive and or rude behavior.

They are too good for even the best of us, so what makes anyone think they would care about anyone in Louisiana. Chipotle have some class think about the people and allow access to your organization or go away. There are far better places to eat in Acadiana, you inspire no one, and profit yourselves without respect to the community from which you want support. Feed the poor, enable the oppressed and stay out of Lafayette. Bonne renommée vaut mieux que ceinture dorée.
