Harbour Bay Apartments

Everythng they say is true...they lied to me by not telling me the apartment I moved into has rats...I contacted them in Jan 08 and they kept "dropping the ball" as the assistant manager Jo said. It is now March and the rat problem is worse on top of that I spoke with the family that used to live in my apartment and thats why they moved! They do not tell anyone that there are rats and the management company located in New Jersey couldn't care less. In Texas we have slum laws and yep I'm working on that angle now. This place is filthy no matter how much you clean and a health hazard. They will not tell new tenants about the problem. So unless you like rats I'd think about moving in here.well here we go again, the management was told 2-3 weeks ago there was a water leak, but no said mgmt it is just dew. Well here we are at 9 pm and no water the city turned if off this morning because of the water leak. And then they hire plumbers who say it will be on by 8pm yea if they knew what they were doing. Went out at 7pm and they said maybe by midnight. Well called the answering service and the mgmt had sent them a fax telling them not to do any maintenace calls today or tonight. They told them not to contact anyone at the office at all. Now isn't that nice they have a hot shower, they can brush their teeth, flush their toilet ect. To heck with their tenants. The current manager needs to lose her job. My lease was up in Jan. but they forgot to tell me. Imagine that I wonder why could it be because of these post. I WOULD NOT MOVE HERE111 THE HURRICANE DAMAGE IS STILL NOT FIXED IN MY APARTMENT AND SEVERAL OTHERS I SPOKE WITH THIS EVENING SAID THE SAME. This place is crap. Oh by the way I am the person with the rats yep its been a year and they say they will take care of this in a timely manner. Righttttt

I would definitely NOT recommend this apartment complex to anyone for the following reasons...



1. Unsafe....my car was broken into while on the premises...my husband's truck was ran into in the lot while we were out of town.



2. Noisy....lots of younger people living in the complex so expect drunks to be hanging out by your stairs.



3. Unclean...Animal feces litter the grass so much that my children could not set one foot off of the sidewalks.



4. Maintence...what maintenance? These people are so concerned with saving money that things are 'patched' and not correctly repaired. This comes directly from the maintence staff. Management will not allow them to correctly resolve problems.



5. Management...We asked the manager questions before signing the lease and were comfortable with signing upon the reassurance that issues we were concerned with would be handled as she stated. However, we did not read the fine print on the contract. The verbal things we were told ended up not being true and affected us terribly.
