Transmission World

Thanks to Jack and Jimmy for getting my transmission repaired properly. I had a very bad experience with another local transmission shop, and they would not stand behind their warranty. Jack listened to my complaint and drove my vehicle and explained to me what the problem was and told me that the cost will be $575 cheaper than the previous repair. Jimmy disassembled the transmission in my presence and showed me what was wrong and explained to me the rebuild process including updating the valve body and replacing a couple of failure prone parts with new updated parts. They also only use factory transmission fluid in their rebuilt transmissions. The transmission has never worked this good, even back when I bought the vehicle with about 15000 miles on it. Thanks to Jack and Jimmy's help. Got transmission problems go see these guys.

I would highly recommend this transmission store to anyone who needs their service. They were very personable , and knowledgeable. They gave me their word and kept it when the job was done.

I have a 2002 Mountaineer I had Larry working on it last 8 months ago launch reverse first gear start slipping I called the new manager Jack he said he'd had me on the road as fast as he could and it sounds like it be on the road in the next two to three days he found the problem he gave me a great deal sound like a good guy

So I posted a different review about how I spent $2,000 here on my transmissions and when I got my car back the rear end was messed up, my brakes were destroyed, none of my problems were fixed, and the loud knocking that now occurs. Jack bragged about how hard he was pushing my car. Well today professional Jack, a 46 year old, called me, an 18 year old, to express how my review made him feel. He cussed me out, tried to justify why he was driving my car so hard with some BS excuse, and then got all upset when I gave his language right back to him. He then explained his hatred for the younger generation and said that he will never "go above and beyond for a young person again" and i'm sure i'll be getting another call soon which i'm fine with because this call was hilarious. Do not use this shop. They will ruin your car, then get pissed if you give them a bad review. The guy who towed my car when I got it back from Transmission World said he would not recommend them to anyone based on the horror stories he's heard. Can't wait for the call i'll be getting from this review.

Worst ever. Installed new transmission without my consent. Then proceeded to lie to me and my bank for 3 months. Damaged the rear bumper while apparently driving my truck to and from their shop I presume. They are crooks and con artists. DO NOT trust them.

Under new management and this shop has improved 100% and has fast great service and best warranty in Knoxville So if you have any problems with your car or truck new or old don't hesitate too go see Larry for a free check of any problems you may have THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS. was on way home from Georgia transmission was leaking they fixed it and had me back on road next morning even recommended a great hotel to stay in. would use again in a heartbeat

they did a real fine job fixing the whining noise in my sons Buick..i thought the transmission was bad. it was low on power steering fluid.

Excellent service. First place to go to when you need your car fixed in a hurry. We got our vehicle fixed the same day. They even included a loaner car. I highly recommend Transmission World.

had a problem with my 02 Honda Odyssey, there were warning lights on the dashboard and it was slipping pretty bad. The dealer told me it would be at least $4000, but Transmission World managed to do it for about $1500 less. It took about 3 days, and I've had it back here now for about a week and a half. It seems to work just fine. I would use them again.

This shop really helped me with my car problems. The manager answered the phone late in the day when I couldn't find anyone else open, and he even towed my car in for free from all the way across town. The next day the guys in the shop had my car apart and figured out by lunchtime, and I was able to get financed and get it fixed before the weekend. I got my car back and it's worked great ever since.

I was enroute from Dallas to South Carolina when my car broke down in Knoxville. It was 3 am and the only people that would answer their phone was Transmission World. They towed my car in and started performing the work the following morning. The job was finished within 24 hours and I was on my way back to South Carolina. The professionalism and courtesy they showed me was without question the best experience I ever had dealing with an automotive repair shop. I would recommend this company highly to anybody needing a repair.

When my Volkswagen quit moving I had several people look at it to tell me what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix. All of them said it was the transmission, and the prices they quoted me were astronomical. When I talked to Gus on the phone at Transmission World he made me feel good enough about his prices that I towed it in to his shop. When these guys checked it out they let me know that it was the clutch, and was only going to be half of the price I had thought it would be. I guess the other shops were just trying to charge me for a transmission when I didn't even need one! I'm glad the mechanics at Transmission World were honest and up front with me. They had the car done and on the road the next day, and it works as good as new.

These guys were great. I was stuck on the side of the freeway, and the tow driver that came to pick me up suggested Transmission World. The manager got me into a rental car in no time, and kept in contact with me every step of the way. When my transmission was apart they explained exactly why it had blew up, and they only replaced the parts that were no good. When I first left my Chrysler there, I didn't think they would be able to get it done in two days like they promised because my aunt's transmission took a week and a half at another shop, but Transmission World was true to their word. I was back driving my own car in two days, and it's worked great ever since. I even have a 12 month warranty that's good for the whole country. It's nice to know that there are still reliable mechanics out there!

This is my third car I have taken to these guys and they have done exactly what they said. Jim, The Manager was very respectful and explained everything. I would recommend Transmission World to anyone who is having problems with their transmission. GREAT PLACE!!!
