X-rays
Visual examination of your teeth, which may include 2-D and 3-D dental x-rays. Dental X-rays will provide a more comprehensive view of not only teeth, but also vital structures surrounding the teeth as well as your sinuses and airways. This will help us to get a better perspective of your overall health treatment suggestions.
Oral Cancer Screening
It is important to note that oral cancer screenings are not diagnostic procedures, rather they are intended to determine if a diagnostic procedure is needed. This means that your dentist will be unable to diagnose cases of oral cancer and will instead refer you to a medical specialist if they suspect your symptoms could be caused by oral cancer. Fillings
Our Baby Boomer patients will recall that in their early years, fillings were made of metal, including gold and silver amalgam. Although these materials will strengthen your teeth and stop bacteria from spreading, the appearance of composite resin is virtually indistinguishable from your natural dental material. Additionally, composite will bond with your tooth better than metal and does not expand and contract like metal does. Thus, composite fillings can more effectively prevent future dental damage. Many patients have their silver amalgam fillings replaced with composite for esthetic reasons or because the older fillings no longer protect their teeth well.
Resin Composite
Before placing a filling, we will use local anesthetic to numb your tooth and surrounding gum tissue. Then he will remove all bacteria and damaged material, and he will clean out the inside of your tooth. If decay extends close to your dental root, he may line the inside of the cavity. Composite resin comes in a range of tints, and the color that is most similar to the natural shade of your smile will be chosen. To ensure a strong and long-lasting bond, he will lightly etch the inside of your tooth, and he will apply a bonding agent.

Dentures
If you have lost or had extracted most or all of your teeth, full dentures can help you regain your ability to speak, eat, and smile with confidence. Unfortunately, traditional dentures, that simply rest atop the gums, easily move or are dislodged while eating and speaking. This even happens when using denture adhesives. As a result, social confidence suffers. A full removable denture that feels comfortably at first may not fit well later and require relining to regain measurable comfort. Bone Grafting
During the sinus lift procedure, Dr. Costa raises sinuses so that new, healthier tissue can develop beneath them after bone grafting. We take your safety and comfort seriously.
