Bloomingdale Terrace

Bed bugs. Two words no one wants to hear. We payed a deposit of 500$ and payed two months rent in advance of $900 to find five bed bugs on the ceiling borders our first night staying the night. We notified management the next morning all for them to act surprised. They treated the apartment the next day and the professional they use said they could not find any but verified that the ones we caught were in fact bed bugs. We just wanted out of our lease considering we weren't fully moved in. My husband and I have a baby girl and a boy due in one month. So bed bugs is not a chance were willing to take. They said the only way we could break our lease is to allow them to keep all monies paid, including rent payed in advance saying we have to give them the chance to rectify the issue. Worst part is I went and talked to both of my neighbor's to find out they knew about the bed bug issue just weeks before they moved my family in making the lease contract fradulant. They said they treated my apartment and both neighboring townhouses right before we moved in. You could only imagine how robbed my family feels. Worst part is to get my money back for deposit rent paid in advance, damages of personal property, moving expensise, and to treat our belongings once moved for protective measure to not bring anything to our new home I was told to have my lawyer to contact there's, and I am. The worst part is they are already in the process to find a new tenant for my apartment. I want to tell the world and scream on The top of a mountain "do not go to these townhouses!" save yourself the heartache and money. I wish I talked to neighbors before ever moving in. I could cry I am due in 29 days and my family is now broke trying to find a new home for my family because they took everything from us with no compassion knowingly moving us into an infested bed bug apartment and never informing us of a history of bed bugs that they knew about just weeks before. Please I beg you spread the word. Do not move into Bloomingdale terrace apartments in kingsport that right across from c v s. Bed bugs are in the three bedroom townhomes. They will make it sound like nothing or swear they are gone. They are very convincing but please do not fall for it. Look elsewhere. also they do not have granite counter tops in the three bedrooms it is fake. And they do not have hardwood floors it is fake. But they will still charge you the maximum 900$ as if it is updated. They consider new blinds an update. They make you pay for the upkeep from the tenant before in high rent.
