Sima Japanese & Korean Restaurant

Quick and friendly service every time! At first, I was turned off by the prices, but for the portions you get the prices make sense. You definitely get your money's worth. Their lunch buffet has tons of sushi options and their salads have super fresh lettuce and veggies! Also, their half price sushi Wednesday is a great day to try new things without wasting your money if you don't like it.

Good turned to bad literally. I gave this place a lot of chances, and after this visit, I will not eat there again! First of all, waiters do bad service, last visit he took so long just to bring sauce and a fork, this time the waitress didn't want to bring extra platea to use for the sushi. Second of all, I got my food on the ceramic bowl that os supposed to heat my food while eating, and usy the rice turns crispy and nice, and I have this plate on the bowl many times and in other restaurants and cities, Sima's bowl had a big crack and a lot of the veggies and rice got burnt, probably because they didn't clean it or dispose it when it got old. Third of all, the portions are not generous with respect to the cost. Due to the inflexibility of the staff and the lack of courtesy, I decided not to complain about my burned food, needless to say, Sima obviously just lost five good customers. There are many other Asian restaurants where I have experienced better food, generous portions, and sincere customer service.

My first time coming to Sima and very excited about it. My boyfriend has been here before and enjoyed it and was looking forward to this return trip. All started out well, we got our Edamame and Gyoza, perfect. We got our way over priced bottle of Choya plum wine but it's great so who cares. We ordered our sushi, which took 40 to 45 minutes to get. Funny thing was is another couple came in way after us and ordered the same sushi and got it at least 20 minutes before we got ours. The Toro roll that was ordered was gray on one side. The waitress after leaving us alone for over 30 minutes says, "I've never seen it look like that before". Then take care of it. Don't wait until after we've paid an over $90 bill. Spending the money would have been no problem if the food and service at met that price. Not a great way to end a night that started out so right.

I have eaten here on a few occasions and have loved it every single time! The food is terrific, the service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. I've tried several Korean places in the Dayton area and Sima is my favorite!!!!

My friend and I tried this restaurant last saturday evening and we were VERY impressed. The service was very good; the prices very resonable; the waitress was professional and friendly; and the food was fantastic! We both talked about going back and SOON.
