Craig Sherman, renowned wood carver/sign designer, opened Old World Signs in the early 1970s, serving the New Orleans area. Over the years OWS has grown to serve many parts of the country, specializing in hand-carved wood signs made from natural cypress. Our signs offer a more distinguished look in comparison to the alternatives of plastic, neon, or painted wood. Our wooden signs range from standard to elaborate in design and can be used for a variety of businesses, homes, associations, parks, and more.
