I have a dog with special needs he is a recuse from SPCA his weight is about 27 pounds I have had him for about 4 years now he is a great dog he is just a very skittish dog around new people I moved here about 2 years ago do to family reasons from Texas where his normal vet is well was he passed away 3 months ago and I was haveing problems getting his paper work sent to me because the apartment I live in recently had a new management and they changed there pet rules in the lease so I had to get him updated to all the new stuff or they would make me get rid of him I called a few places they couldn't see him in time so I called this place I was worried he would not want to see my dog due to how skittish he was I fully explained to them on the phone the situation and they said that would be fine I got up at 7am to be able to get ready and be there on time by 830 at the latest and its a good drive over there and I arrived there b4 830 and the vet refused to see him he said he was worried the dog would bite him and he has all ready been bit once and won't do that again this was not by my dog it was some other dog my dog was out side with my step dad who is in his 70s so the vet never even laid eyes on my dog he just refused to even allow the dog in the building my dog has never bitten any 1 even when the SPCA rescued him I was there because in Texas on the weekends I would volunteer with them and I said we can put a muzzle on him even thou I'm firmly against them I was willing to so we could get everything done that needed to be done he still refused he said its not worth him being bit so I offered to help with everything explained how I did all this for SPCA giving shots and going on rescues he still refused and I said why after you all said it would be fine he said he was worried for his safety which I understand but he had a brand new harly motorcycle sitting in parking lot that he said was his so I asked him why call it a hospital if your not willing to treat all animals if some 1 brought in a dog who was just hit by a car was serverly injured would you refuse to help that dog cuz it's scared and injured he said ya I would because its not worth me being hurt over so I left found another place a hour away that will see my dog tomorrow at 815am and after my experience with him I called the SPCA and there going to be removing Tiffany hills animal hospital from there recommendation list so come to your own conclusion if you wish to bring your dog or cat here but SPCA won't support this place can you trust them with your beloved pet

I would not recommend this vet for cats. After a misdiagnosis I ended up taking my cat to the ER Vet. The ER vet faxed an update of my cat's condition. I did not receive a follow up call or a courtesy call from this vet. I will be taking my cat to another vet.

Dr. Fortney and his wife are incredible. Truly the best vet in the kansas city metro area, so kind and helpful and incredibly attentive to both of my dogs. My dogs absolutely love him! I have dog who has special needs and she is much more calm and peaceful here than any other vet office we've gone to, Will continue to go and tell as many people as I possibly can about the perfect vet!

I have been trying to figure out everything I could about why my dog is getting sick. I've also tried everything I could before calling. I have been going to this vet for 6 years. My purpose for calling was to get his opinion and bring my dog in for tests. The only answer I got was none at all. I was being yelled at, he said I was feeding my dog "crap!" I monitor every single thing he eats, have for years. I will no longer refer or go to this vet after that conversation.

Excellent Vet and all around services. Dr Fortney and his lovely wife are intelligent and very caring people. If you're looking for an affordable vet with state of the art equipment then this is the place for you and your pets. They remind me of how vets used to be--giving undvided attention to you and your pet.

I was impressed by both the doctor and the facility. The doctor was very caring toward my dog and spent a considerable amount of time with me to ensure that I understood her diagnosis and treatment plan. I've been to many vets throughout my life and believe this was one of the best vet experiences I've had yet. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone looking for a caring vet with reasonable prices.
