Horrible food! Service left something to be desired. Maybe just an off day, but I won't be going back!

TERRIBLE RESTAURANT!! i cant speak for the food because I left before I could get my food. The server was the rudest I've ever had in my life. I've been waiting tables since I was 16 and the guest is always always always right. Whats sad is the only Thing "special" i asked for was grilled onions. When I made my order the server responded with "no thats just way too high maintenance" whats ridiculous is that they had to grill the beef for the tacos anyway!

I have been eating at Ponaks since approx. 1986. I remember now why I dont even bother anymore. Rude Manager/Host, rude bar tender, treated like you are a burdon rather than a customer. Food is average at best. Margaritas are my all time favorite and I always pass on them when Im there. You are way to cocky Ponaks staff. John should be ashamed.

so my husband and i went to ponacks on suggestions from people at work. i was totally let down! they call it a mexican resturant yet they dont even have carne asada! they cheese dip ws horrible the salsa was tomato sauce no flavor at all! Everything we ate tasted so bland and the place was gross! im pretty sure they are in health code violation or something. our waitress never even smiled and had attitude! in short i would never go here if you are looking for good food but if you have no taste buds and want to see dirt under your salt and pepper shakers this is the place for you!

I went to Ponak's for the first time this weekend and was EXTREMELY disappointed. Sure the Margarita's were good but the service was horrible. Rude hosts and rude waiters. Suggestion, work on your customer service skills because there are plenty of places that serve good Mexican food and offer better service! I will recommend those places to my friends and family over Ponak's any day.

Ponak's has T H E B E S T margaritas ever! Smooth and strong! The food is good as well. But I would definitely recommend it for the margaritas. And I have to mention the wait staff there is awesome! Fast and friendly. I have to say that the waiter Jack, is the best waiter I have ever encountered. Great place for friends and fun!

I don't live in KC any more, but I will always remember eating at this place. Everything on the menu is delicious. Their drinks are very good, too. Oh, and their chips are perfect! You should definitely go here.

My husband and I love Ponak's. It is our favorire Mexican restaurant in town. The atomosphere and authentic menu make it a fun place to eat. Their margaritas cannot be beat! You won't be disappointed.

This restaurant was great. The kids loved and the service was the best I have ever had.
