Long John Silver's

We decided given the evening had gotten away from us to stop at the Long John/ A&W store located at Sterling/Noland Road in Kansas City off I-70. It was 6:48 when we pulled into the drive through with one car in front of us. It took ten minutes for us to move up to the order board. We waited for five more minutes for someone to return and take our order. Our order was completed slowly and ended with my personal pet peeve of "Is that all" and we pulled around to the window and still behind that one car now ten minutes plus later. We waiting approximately two minutes to move to the window. We watched the disinterested cashier/order take muddle around for a minute before opening the window to say $24.83(by the way that price for two meals means we will never return to any Long John). Wow, inflation has certainly hurt the ability to be competitive at this store. Anyway, I handed her our card and she ran it returning it to me without a single word. Closed the window and started looking into the production window for our food. She packed and unpacked it several times. Our food sat on that counter for five minutes while she bounced around finally making her way to the "swirl" machine to make our ice cream treat. While she was doing that the other person working the inside counter came over and began looking through our bag of food briefly before opening the window to hand it to me. I asked her to please check and see that we had everything in our ridiculously priced order so we wouldn't be missing anything. She said yes it is all there. I asked for our missing drinks. She handed me one drink and the swirl and said that completes our order. I looked in the bag and said, I have asked twice to have some tartar sauce, ketchup and salt please. We got home exhausted and disgusted with the fact that we sat in that drive through for now, Not fresh food experience from 6:48 until 7:15pm when we received our order. Can you imagine. In the realm of life, a very insignificant experience. However, we can have that mediocre experience anywhere. We chose to try your business. Now at home for dinner. The food was cold, lettuce wilted on burger. Definitely the fish was passed its recommended "hold time". Soggy fries and onion rings and cheese curds with hard cheese in them. Mmmmm.. missing one of our drinks, no ketchup and pretty grossed out by the overall experience. I don't even care that we were shorted our drink because who cares. I do care that no one is managing this store with some sort of expectations for a good customer experience in hopes of sales retention. We for all practical purposes weren't returning, we were new business now to never return. My cashiers name was Brandy L according to my receipt and if she wasn't feeling well which sometimes happens she should have been sent home and replaced by a quick moving, interested, smiling person at that window. And my gosh, whatever is going on back in the kitchen area.. help us all. I will say this, I noticed a small yellow sign on the window that said "We drug test, so if you do drugs, don't apply". Lol, hmmm....all said and done, the very bottom of my receipt says, Thank You Please Come Again Soon. Really.

Went to this location to use coupons from recent mailing. Employee stated that I couldn't use both the combo meal coupon and the add a piece of fish coupon together. I asked why not and he said that the owner doesn't allow it anymore. Also, the employee stated that he would be fired if he allowed me to use both coupons because the owner reviews the camera footage for the store. I told the employee that I would go eat somewhere else. I told him to tell his genius owner that a sale is better than no sale. Needless to say, I will never go to eat at this restaurant again.
