This Kansas City, Intermodal company is the worse company for Owner-Operators. Why? They hate to pay them. Every week you will be short on trips or local moves. I've was there 19 months, I finally had enough of the lying Manager. This guy could lie so easy. Tell a Lease Operator whatever the driver wanted to hear. He had no conscience. You will always be short. You point the shortages, or the trips not paid, it could still take weeks to get paid for those trip done, meanwhile you'll still continue to be short on up and coming settlements. He's always got an excuse. The manager has more excuses than Carter has Liver Pills. He demands the lease operator to deliver freight on time yet he can't make sure the Lease Operator is paid on time. To talk to the guy makes one want to knock him out for lying. If he paid his drivers as well as he lies, no driver would have a complaint about compensation. It's a sin and a shame how this company hates to pay his lease operators. He refuses to pay for equipment splits also. I was leased there longer than anyone driver that ran Regional runs. New drivers would lease on, after a few week or months they realized what was going on, they terminated their, then the manager would try to get the remainder lease operators to deliver freight going into log book violation. If you were stupid enough to do it. He wants to put that People Net Communication Device in your truck, and the Dense dispatchers don't know how to type and spell and they're calling you on your cell phone. They started forcing me on dispatches I didn't want, for not having enough miles. If anyone leases on to this Intermodal company it will be the biggest mistake you ever made in your trucking career.

This place has to be the worse company ive ever work for. They treat there top driver like kings and the rest like crap. Stay very far from this company, if you want to haul fuel go to carter energy, star fuel, or even gas mart they all treat there drivers like humans not dogs. Trust me ive been there and rather go work at a johny on the spot then to go back to groendyke.
