Uncle Bobo's

This is our neighborhood burger joint and we love it.



The hours are very limited and that is probably the biggest downside-- with not having any onsite bathrooms a very close second. You'll have to cross the highway and use the not so appealing public restrooms at Swanzy Beach Park-- so be sure to keep that in mind as you are slurping down one of their amazing shave ice concoctions-- seriously yum. They make a latte that rivals the big starts with a "Star" and ends with a "Bucks" But it's so laid back local style that you really can't count on them being open before ten so you'll have to either sleep in or concede that an Uncle Bobo's latte won't be your first cup of coffee for the day.



Do go for the burgers and the smoked meat. If you're there for a mid morning snack the 'Acai bowls are amazing.



Don't go if you are in a rush-- as the sign at the entrance states "This is not fast food".

Just thinking about Bobo's Smoked BBQ is making my mouth water. Not only is the food delicious, but we got a kick out of how they have to go out the door in the kitchen to the outside, then come in the front door to the dining area to bring your food. So unpretentious. Sooooo gooood!! The sandwiches are large, with lots of meat. The guys working there were very friendly. Very casual atmosphere; small, homey, comfortable. You feel like a local and they treat you that way.
