This place is really not good. My dog went to a wonderful dog daycare for 2 years before we moved to MD. He loved it, loved other dogs. After several months of 1 day a week at this place he got to the point of being dog aggressive. The staff is not good with dogs or people. What a terrible experience for both of us. Thank goodness I had him in a good daycare before this or these incompetant meanies may have succeeded in making me believe it was my dog's fault & he is not able to socialize with other dogs. I have so many pictures from his first daycare that prive otherwise. Don't dispair if they tell you your dog is bad. They are the one's who are bad!

NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!!!!!!!! When I picked up my dog from a 2 night stay. Charged me for services that were not done. For instance I'm on phone with Kristin "Manager" I was told Kelly was manager and saw that on facebook. Kristin's response to my request was, she isn't here, ok that's fine ,my I have her number "No she too busy" So I told her about my dissatisfaction, one mostly that they did not cut his nails, But they didn't tell me and still charged me. So while on phone I asked Kristin do you know how to cut dogs nails, asked several times. I asked because when I picked him up and found out on my own nails were not done. She and a another girl said they would do it. Well they told me to hold my dog, of course he is going to pull away. So I asked again she said " I have not done it in years" Wow !! then why did she try. Animal abuse she could of cut too much, causing him excruciating pain and bleeding. Ended call because she said I was calling her names. "Incompetent"

My son's dog Zoey goes here, it is my first experience with this type of animal care! My grand dog loves it here! She is a boxer and has lots of energy - she gets so excited to go play with her friends. The employees have always been kind, and loving towards her! I am very impressed with Best Friends!!!! I would gladly refer them to others in need of their services for their fur babies!

I think this place is awesome! I not only have taken my dog here, I adopted one of the dogs that they were fostering for a local shelter. I find the staff very knowledgeable and caring. Before finding Best Friends I took my dog to my vet to board, and she was terrified. I thought I would never go on vacation again. Then I toured Best Friends in Joppa. It was like doggy heaven. The dogs play outside in group (just like at the dog park!) and I got to see her on the dog cams. I felt very safe with my dogs going there. The trainer worked with my dog and he did a amazing job! She is a little shy, and I could tell right away she was comfortable. I will never go anywhere else.

Don't take your dog here

I boarded my dog here and when I picked him up he was throwing up and had the runs. I should've chose to board him ANYWHERE else because he alsocame back and had a very bad infection which caused me over $200 at the vet!!! If you care at all about your dog and their well being DO NOT take your dog here. And I haven't even touched on their horrible customer service which is a whole other story.

Do not take your pet here! Two times now my dog has been in their care and has gotten sick. While I can't blame them for the dogs illnesses - they never contacted me to even let me know he was sick. The first time I picked him up, he was so lethargic he couldn't even get into the truck on his own. He ended up having a 1 week stay at the Pet - ER where we almost lost him. The second time he was refusing to eat and was vomiting everything including water. When asked why I wasn't contacted they said they didn't think it was a big deal (but they thought it big enough of a deal to keep him behind the counter with them away from the rest of the dogs.) Turns out he had a blocked intestine and if they would have called me so I could have gotten him to the vet, the surgery bill would have been $2000 less!! I'll never take my dog here again - and would advise no one else to either!!
