They care more about money and time than they do about the animals. Our dog was injured and in pain. We called them, and they said there was no way they could possibly work her in that night, but we should call in the morning. We called in the morning, and they told us they wouldn't be able to work her in. What are you supposed to do in that scenario? We had to take her to an unfamiliar vet.

On a previous occasion, our other dog had started having accidents in her sleep and had stopped eating. It took them a week to work her in. When they did, they charged us $50 each for a blood sugar check and a urine content check. It was completely ridiculous. (For those who don't know, a tube of blood sugar check sticks is approximately $50; a tube of urine content sticks is approximately $75.) They wanted to do other tests. We were going to do it, but we would need to set up some sort of payment plan. They were completely unwilling to work with us. She died a few months later.

They've charged considerably more than other vets have have charged us in the past, and they won't do anything to work with you on timing or payment.

I realize they are a business. I realize they need to make money to continue working. I completely understand that they are, in fact, trying to make a profit. That said, shouldn't as a medical clinic for animals, shouldn't the medical treatment of animals at least come before their convenience? Shouldn't they at least be willing to work with customers in order to treat sick animals?

I would not EVER suggest this vet to anyone. I'm certainly not taking my pets there again.

Professionalism

We have received wonderful care and compassion. We love all the employees and the kindness that was shown. Very kind, experienced, competent and easy to work with. I will always take my animals here where they are treated like family.

Money First, Customer Service Never

We are established clients and LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr Hinkle; however, the front desk staff are the absolute worst I have ever encountered. ZERO customer service skills and ZERO empathy. I have put up with them only because I like Dr Hinkle so much. Not once have I called with a sick animal that needs to be seen and been able to get in. In my 25 yrs of dealing with vets I have NEVER encountered an office that can't see a sick animal same day or next day at the latest. They offer to "..work you in.." but availability for that is very limited AND they charge a $20 "work in" fee on top of their $60 office visit. Unfortunately my love of Dr Hinkle will only overlook so much and, unfortunately, I'm done with this office.

I always trust my animals in the care of Dr. Kapoor and his staff. I have found the Doctors and staff to be knowledgable and friendly. The price are current with other clinics.
